Taking it Further
I really wasn’t happy with the way the feet slipped in my final render, and also wanted to try and make the locked off shot look a little more natural. In After Effects I created several null objects and linked them in series to each other. I then used the wiggler tool and added shake to each null object of varying amounts. The video was then linked to the null objects which produces some quite realistic shake. I then keyframed in scaling and position to simulate zooming in and out.
The end result is a much more natural video and it hides the slipping feet very well. If I were to take this even further I would blur the background photo so it looks like the camera is focussing on the character, and also reduce the motion blur slightly on the character. Other than those two slight issues I’m really happy with the final result.
