Lens Correction is Important

I decided to revist the last project and retrack the pan after correcting lens distortion. In After Effects I used a tool called ‘Optics Compensation’ and was surprised to find how much distortion there was. I created 4 lines and used objects known to be straight to calculate the correction needed. When filming this the camera was fully zoomed out, resulting in a very low focal length and a large amount of lens distortion. Now that the footage has been corrected it will hopefully track much more accurately, fixing the slight slipping that was present in the last render.
